We first met when you refereed my eldest sons football matches at Methley AFC. You were great with the lads and a great referee who I always enjoyed talking to about the game of football. After you suffered an injury to your back, I had the task of taking over as referee for his team and it was great to see you and Sam still coming to the games and providing feedback on my officiating. You and Sam also made the effort to come and watch me on a Saturday afternoon officiating open age games in both the Selby League and the West Yorkshire League which meant I had at least 2 friendly faces on the touchline! 

You were one of the nicest guys I've ever met and you and Sam were perfect for each other.
